Step by step instruction
Log in to your google account & Search your business on "Google Search Tab"
Click on the "Edit profile" option.
Say for example, you want to edit your "Business category", click on it. Select desired option from the "drop down menu"
After making changes remember to click on "Save" button after each step.
If you want to update or add additional contact number, click on "Contact" tab to edit.
Make changes in "Primary contact number" or add "Additional phone". Remember to click on "Save" button.
Likewise you can make changes in "Location" or add multiple Locations in Location Tab.

Can I Edit my Business Name?
Yes, you can. However if there are any major changes, you may have to do the re-verification of your profile.
What to do if someone else makes an incorrect edit.
You can login to your profile and make the corrections. It is recommended to check your profile regularly for any unauthorised changes. For any complaints you can also reach out to google support.
How long does it take to show my edits?
If the changes are not significant & follow the guidelines, edits can show up in few minutes. But if any background check is required, it may require up to 5 days.
Why were my edits rejected by Google?
If you have entered too many irrelevant keywords in your business name, incorrect information on address like PO box no only in place of full address or prohibited content or links. All these may lead to rejection of edits.
