Log in to your google account & search your business on "Google search tab"
Click on "3 dots" that are visible on right hand side of your profile.
Select the "Business Profile Settings" option from the drop down menu.
Now, click on "Remove Business Profile" tab.
Under the "Remove Business Profile", select "Stop Managing this profile" option.
Now to transfer the ownership, click on "Add" button & add the email ID of the person for "ownership" transfer.(Instead of transferring full ownership you can also Add Owners & Managers to your GBP)
After adding the email ID of the person whom you want to transfer the ownership to, select the access as "Owner"
Now, Click on "Invite" button. The ownership will be transfered once the invite is accepted by the invitee.
FAQs
What happens to me (the old Primary Owner) after I transfer ownership?
Once you transfer the ownership, your role will be automatically updated to an Owner. You will have all the management rights until the new primary owner makes any changes to your access rights.
Can I transfer Primary Ownership to a Manager?
No, you cannot directly transfer an ownership to an existing Manager. You will need to update his/her access rights as "Owner", then wait for 7 days. After that you can transfer primary ownership to him/her.
What's the main difference between a Primary Owner and an Owner?
The Primary Owner has an ultimate control over profile. He/She can transfer ownership or delete business profile. A regular owner has all management rights, but he will not be able to delete the business or transfer ownership.
