Step-by-step instructions

  1. Log In to your google account & click on "Business Profile Manager"

  2. If you have multiple businesses under your account you will get this page. Click on "Add business" option.

  3. If this is your first Google Business Profile, you will directly start on this page

  4. Start creating your profile by adding your "Business name" and the most suitable "Business category". Click on "next".

  5. Add your "Phone Number" & "Website", if available. Then Click on "Next"

  6. Now, enter your address for verification purposes. This will not be displayed on your Google Business Profile. Click on "Next" to verify your profile.

  7. Now verify your profile by selecting the verification option as "Phone code" & click on "Next" to proceed. (Looking for more options to verify, Google business video verification is an alternative method)

  8. Enter a 6 digit code you have received & click on "Verify" to proceed.

  9. Once Verification is done "Add business hours" & click on "Next" to proceed.

  10. "Add business description" that best suits your business & click on "Next" to proceed.

  12. Your Google Business Profile is ready & this is how it looks.

No, If you are a Service business you should enter the address for verification purposes only. You will have an option to enter the service areas where in you can specify the areas you serve.

No, in new updates Google has removed this option. Now you need to specify the specific area, city or postal code that your business serves.
